From ¥1,000 to ¥30,000 = ¥880
From ¥30,001 to ¥100,000 = ¥1,480
More than ¥100,001 = ¥1,680
Note: Transfer fee and bank deposit fee will be deducted from the deposited amount.
2.How much money can I send per transaction?
Min. remittance amount per transaction - ¥1,000
Max. remittance amount per transaction - ¥800,000
Max. remittance amount a day - ¥1,000,000
We may contact the customer in case of large amounts/frequent remittances to confirm further details regarding the nature of the remittance. There will be cases in that additional documents may be required.
3.How long will it take for the recipient to get the money?
It can take from 15 minutes to 3 hours.
4. How can the recipient pick up the money?
The recipient can pick up the money at one of the following Agent Collect Points:
- ABA Bank - Advanced Bank of Asia Limited
- Sacombank (Cambodia) PLC
5. Can I send money to a bank account in Cambodia?
Yes, you can send money to 36 banks in Cambodia. Note that only deposits in USD currency are available.
6. Can I send money to a corporate customer in Cambodia?
No, you can only send money to individuals.
7. Can the recipient in Cambodia receive in US Dollars?
Yes, the recipient in Cambodia can ONLY receive the money in US Dollar (USD).
They cannot receive in Cambodian Riel (KHR).
8. What documents does the recipient need to bring to receive the money at the Agent Collect Point in Cambodia?
- The recipient must bring his/her ID card and the reference number of the transaction (please see question 14)
- Fill in the form provided by the bank
9. Does the recipient need to pay any charges or fees?
No.
10.How can I deposit the money I want to send using the Yucho Deposit Card from Brastel Remit?
Using the Yucho Deposit Card, go to the nearest Japan Post Bank (or to a Family Mart convenience store that has a Japan Post Bank ATM) and deposit the money at the ATM. You will find instruction on how to use the ATM on the Brastel Remit app: Menu > Deposit Instructions > Yucho Card
- Maximum deposit limit at a time: ¥100,000
- If you wish to deposit more than ¥100,000, you will need to make multiple deposits.
The Brastel Remit App also contains useful tips on how to save money with the ATM fees when making multiple deposits. Open the Brastel Remit app and go to Menu > Deposit Instructions > Yucho Card > Select the place where you are going to make the deposit: Japan Post Bank or Family Mart > Select the type of ATM where you will make the deposit. Then press the button “TIP: SAVE MONEY!”.
11. I have a bank account in Japan. Can I transfer money from my bank account to my Brastel Remit app?
Yes, you can. If you have a Japan Post Bank account, you can transfer money at an ATM or by internet banking via the Japan Post Bank website.
Please check the instructions on the Brastel Remit app: open the app, press the menu icon (on the top left corner) >> Deposit Instructions > Bank Transfer > Japan Post Bank > select your desired deposit method (ATM or Internet Banking).
Important: don’t forget to enter your Deposit Code provided by us in the deposit instructions. The deposit code allows us to identify your deposit and automatically add the amount to your balance.
If you have a bank account at other banks, please check the instructions on the Brastel Remit app: open the app, press the menu icon (on the top left corner) >> Deposit Instructions > Bank Transfer > Other banks.
12. I don’t have a bank account in Japan nor a Deposit Card. How can I deposit money to my Brastel Remit app?
Deposit the money in cash at the nearest bank branch ATM or at the counter.
Please check the instructions on the Brastel Remit app: open the app, press the menu icon (on the top left corner) >> Deposit Instructions > No Bank Account > select the bank where you will make the deposit. Important: don’t forget to enter your Deposit Code provided by us in the deposit instructions. The deposit code allows us to identify your deposit and automatically add the amount to your balance.
13. How can I check if the money was sent successfully?
You can check the status of your money transfer on the Brastel Remit app:
- SENDING = the money is on its way to your recipient
- DELIVERED = your recipient has received the money
14. Where can I find the reference number?
Open the app. At the HOME screen, check your “Recent Transfers” or go MENU > Transaction history > Transfers.
If the transfer status is “SENDING”, you can already provide your recipient with the reference number. Press the button “Share transfer details” to send the reference number to them via email or other messaging services.
15. Can I use the remaining balance in my account for my next money transfer?
Yes, you can.
16. At what point does the exchange rate apply?
The rate will be applied on the day and time the remittance is processed.
Please note that the exchange rate shown at the time the remittance request is placed is only for reference and may differ from the actual exchange rate.
17. Can I register more than one recipient?
Yes, it is possible to register more than one recipient.
You can also change or update your recipient’s information at any time through the Brastel Remit App.
18. Can I change the sending amount of a transfer I have already submitted?
No, the content of a remittance cannot be changed after it has been processed.
19. Can I receive a transaction report for tax procedures?
Yes, you can print or share your Remittance Statement from the app. Go to Menu > Transaction History > Print a Remittance Statement.
20. Is Brastel Remit refundable?
Normally we do not cancel confirmed transactions, but refunds can be made in special circumstances.
To request a refund go to Menu > My Account > Refund. Note that you will need to pay a flat fee of ¥750.
21. How to cancel a transaction?
Please contact Customer Service. After the procedure is complete, the money will return to your app balance. You can make a new transaction, or if you want to receive the money-back to your bank account, you can request a refund from the app.

22. Can I transfer money from other countries to Japan?
No. Currently our service is only available from Japan to other countries.
