1. How long will it take for the recipient to get the remittance?

  • Bank account deposit: around 1 - 3 hours (Send over 25 million rupiah to destination other than to BRI, BNI and BSI ex Bank Mandiri Syariah will take around 3 working days).
    * depending on the circumstances it might take up to 3 business days
  •   Agent collect point: around 15 minutes - 3 hours

2. How much money can I send per transaction?

Min. remittance amount per transaction - ¥1,000
Max. remittance amount per transaction - ¥800,000
Max. remittance amount a day - ¥1,000,000

We may contact the customer in case of large amounts/frequent remittances to confirm further details regarding the nature of the remittance. There will be cases in that additional documents may be required. 

3. How much is the transfer fee to Indonesia?

4. Does the recipient have to pay any additional fee?

No, we don’t charge any fees for delivery.
However, if you choose “Agent collect point” as delivery method, the agent in Indonesia may charge a small amount for counting the money.

5. At what point does the exchange rate apply?

The rate will be applied on the day and time the remittance request is processed.
Please note that the exchange rate shown at the time the remittance request is placed is only for reference and may differ from the actual exchange rate.  

6. Can I send money to my own bank account in Indonesia?

Yes, you can.

7. Can I transfer money from other countries to Japan?

No. Currently our service is only available to transfer money from Japan to overseas.

8. Can I receive a transaction report for tax procedures?    

Yes, you can print or share your Remittance Statement from the app. Go to Menu > Transaction History > Print a Remittance Statement.

9. Is Brastel Remit refundable?

Normally we do not cancel confirmed transactions, but refunds can be made in special circumstances.
To request a refund go to Menu > My Account > Refund.
Note that you will need to pay a flat fee of ¥750.

10. How to cancel a transaction?

Please contact Customer Service. After the procedure is complete, the money will return to your app balance. You can make a new transaction, or if you want to receive the money-back to your bank account, you can request a refund from the app.

You will need to pay a flat fee of ¥750

11. Can I register more than one recipient?

Yes, it is possible to register more than one recipient.
You can also change or update your recipient’s information at anytime through the app.

12. Can I use remaining balance in my account for my next transaction ?

Yes, you can.

13. How can I deposit the money I want to send?

Using the Yucho Deposit Card, go to the nearest Japan Post Bank or some Family Mart convenience stores and deposit the money in the ATM. Follow the instruction in the app: 

Menu > Deposit Instruction

14. How do I know the money has been processed? 

The status of your transaction will be “sending”. That means we are processing your request.
