2. At what point does the exchange rate apply?
The rate will be applied on the day and time the remittance request is processed. Please note that the exchange rate shown at the time the remittance request is placed is only for reference and may differ from the actual exchange rate.
3. How long will it take for the recipient to get the remittance?
- Bank account deposit: around 1 - 3 working days
- Agent collect point: instantly (depending on the circumstances it might take up to 3 hours).

We may contact the customer in case of large amounts/frequent remittances to confirm further details regarding the nature of the remittance. There will be cases in that additional documents may be required.
6. Can I send money to any bank accounts in Nepal?
You can only send money to accounts of the banks listed in our app.
7. I can not find my bank branch in the system. What should I do?
You can request to add the bank branch through the app. Go to Home > Add Recipient
Start registering the information and click Branch not listed? Your request will be processed within 1 to 3 business days
8. Can I transfer money from other countries to Japan?
No. Currently our service is only available to transfer money from Japan to overseas.
9. How do I know the money has been processed?
The status of your transaction will be “sending”. That means we are processing your request.
10. Can I register more than one recipient?
Yes, it is possible to register more than one recipient.
You can also change or update your recipient’s information at any time through the app.
11. Do I need a Brastel Remit deposit Card to send money? How do I make one?
No, you don’t need a card to send money, however cards make the sending process easier.
Once you have registered with us we will send you a Yucho deposit card to your registered address.
12. Can I receive a transaction report for tax procedures?
Yes, you can print or share your Remittance Statement from the app.
Go to Menu > Transaction History > Print a Remittance Statement.
13. When do I need to provide the Income Source Documents? What are the documents needed?
According to the rule set by Nepal Rastra Bank, if a bank account receives Rs.10 lakhs or more from one or many sources in a day then the sender has to provide the income source documents to the destination bank.
Required documents are a copy the sender’s passport (showing the personal details), a copy of Residence card (both sides) and bank passbook (showing the name and transaction details).
14. Will my membership be cancelled if I don’t send money for a long time ?
Yes, if there is no activity in the customer’s account for 2 years then the account will be terminated.

16. Where in Nepal can I collect the money sent as an Agent collection?
You can collect cash from the banks linked to our agent Himal Remit in Nepal and also from small remittance shops that offer Himal Remit services.
17. Is Brastel Remit refundable?
Normally we do not cancel confirmed transactions, but refunds can be made in special circumstances.
To request a refund go to Menu > My Account > Refund.
Note that you will need to pay a flat fee of ¥750.
