1. When will the recipient receive the fund once the transaction has been successfully processed?
For Bank Account Deposit
The money will be deposited directly into the beneficiary’s bank account.

The money will be deposited on the next bank business day if the transfer is made on Sat, Sun and/or special holidays in Thailand.
For Agent Collect Point
The recipient in Thailand can collect the fund at every branch of Siam Commercial Bank and Government Savings Bank (both stand-alone branch and the branch in the department stores) after 1-2 hours in which the transaction has been successfully processed. Please check the business hours of the nearby branch.
2. Is there a remittance limit per time to Thailand? If yes, what is the maximum amount per one transfer
- For the customers whose occupation indicated on the Identification Document and on the application form is student, the transfer limit is 100,000 yen per month. If exceeding this limit, the customer MUST submit a copy of Identification and a copy of the customer's Bank Statement or a copy of the customer's Bank Passbook.
- The maximum transfer amount is 150,000 - 152,800 THB/transaction.
We may contact the customer in case of large amounts/frequent remittances to confirm further details regarding the nature of the remittance. There will be cases in that additional documents may be required.
3. What kind of documents does the recipient need to bring to receive the money at the Agent collect Point in Thailand?
- The recipient must bring his/her ID card and reference number
- Ask for the cash pick-up service from RIA
- Fill in the form
4. What local banks in Thailand can I send the money to?
You can see the list of local banks on the Brastel Remit website.

The beneficiary account must be a saving account only.
* Government Housing Bank and Fixed and current accounts are not available for Brastel Remit service.*
5. How much is the transfer fee to Thailand?

* The maximum amount of remittance per bank transfer is 49,999.99 Thai baht (THB) due to the new regulations in Thailand.
- For remittances above 49,999.99 Thai baht (THB), the only delivery method available to receive the money is via Cash Pickup (at Government Saving Bank only).
6. Is there any additional fee when receiving the money at the agent collect point in Thailand?
No. There is no additional fee nor deduction from the money collected at the Agent collect point in Thailand.
7. What is the Brastel Remit service’s exchange rate?
You can check our daily exchange rate at “https://brastelremit.jp/tha/rates”. The exchange rate is based on today’s rate of the transfer amount from Yen to US dollars converted into the local currency.
*The exchange rate will be applied on the date and time of when the remittance is processed.*
8. Can I send money to my own bank account in Thailand?
Yes, you can send the money to your account in Thailand.
9. How many beneficiary accounts in Thailand can I register for the Brastel Remit service?
- For Brastel Remit App users, you can register up to 10 beneficiary accounts. (You can change the bank accounts at any time.)
- For Classic users, you can register up to 5 beneficiary accounts on the website. (You can change the bank accounts at any time.)
*The beneficiary name and surname must be the same as on the bank account.*
10. If I have a Japan Post Bank account already, can I use it with the Brastel Remit Application?
You can either request the new deposit card from us or use your ATM card to transfer the money to Brastel’s bank account or directly to our app account.

Deposit instructions > Bank transfer > JP POST BANK > Follow the instructions.
11. If I am already a Brastel Remit user and would like to send money using Brastel Remit
Application, do I need to subscribe to the service again?
You do not need to subscribe to the service again.
You can use your username and password from Brastel Remit Service to log in to Brastel Remit Application and request a deposit card or make a deposit from your Japan Post Bank account to Brastel Remit App’s account and send money.
If you do not know your username or password, please contact Brastel Remit Customer Service Center.
12. What should I do if I forgot my Username or Password to login to my Brastel Remit app?
If you forgot your password, click on “Forgot your password?” and follow the instructions that appear on the screen. If you need help, please contact Brastel Remit Customer Service Center.
13. What should I do when I need to make changes on my personal information?
You can change your personal information by yourself on the Brastel Remit application on Menu > My Account > Profile, or you can change it through the Brastel Remit website. Every time the personal information is changed, customers are asked to submit the Zairyu card to verify their identity with Brastel.
14. Can I request my transaction history for tax deduction purpose in Japan?
Yes, you can print or share your Remittance Statement from the app. Go to Menu > Transaction History > Print a Remittance Statement.
15. Is Brastel Remit refundable?
Normally we do not cancel confirmed transactions, but refunds can be made in special circumstances.
To request a refund go to Menu > My Account > Refund.
Note that you will need to pay a flat fee of ¥750.
16. How to cancel a transaction?
Please contact Customer Service. After the procedure is complete, the money will return to your app balance. You can make a new transaction, or if you want to receive the money-back to your bank account, you can request a refund from the app.
